Pterygium

Pterygium is tissue formed on the conjunctiva (overlying skin around the eye) and the sclera (the white of the eye), sometimes reaching up to the cornea (the frontal "window" of the eye covering iris and pupil), affecting vision and appearance of those who suffer from it. This tissue produces eye dryness, irritation and low vision when its growth affects the cornea.

How to treat Pterygium
