Dr. Víctor Mainou Martín del Campo
Dr. Martín del Campo is in charge of the Glaucoma Department at Méndez Lasik Institute since 1999. He achieved his residency in Spain, at the famous Universidad de Salamanca, the second oldest university in the world and one of the most important in Europe.
From 1985 to 1987 Dr. Matín del Campo specialized in Ophthalmology being taught by -among other teachers- Dr. Jorge Alió, one of the most prominent Ophthalmologists today. During 1988-1989 he achieved Cornea, Anterior Segment and Glaucoma subspecialties. Graduated with the "Cum et laude" honors, one of the most important prizes given by Universidad de Salamanca, in recognition of his Ophthalmology practice and studies.
He worked as an assigned doctor at the Instituto de Seguridad Social (Social Security Institute) in Spain until 1992. From 1992 until 1999 he worked at Hospital Español (Spanish Hospital) in México City in the Ophthalmology Unit.
