He is the Director of Méndez Lasik Institute (in Tijuana), achieved his residency as ophthalmologist as Fellow in Automated Lamelar Keratoplasty in Scottsdale, AZ in 1994. His residency in Ophthalmology as well as his subspecialty in Cornea and External Diseases took place in the Fundación Conde de la Valenciana Ophthalmology Institute, one of the most important vision centers in México and Latin America.
Dr. Méndez Noble is an expert in the most advanced techniques in refractive surgery including Lasik, Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK), Conductive Keratoplasty (CK), Intracorneal Contact Lens Implants as well as Intracorneal Ring Segments (INTACS).
His training makes him successfully correct other vision illnesses such as cataracts, pterygium (outgrowths) and corneal surgery (transplants).
Dr. Méndez Noble has carried out diverse presidential positions in local and national ophthalmologic associations such as: President of the Baja California Ophthalmic Counsel, President of The Mexican Center for Corneal and Refractive Surgery, President of the Mexican Society for Cataracts and Refractive Surgery. He is also a member of societies and associations in México, Latin America, United States and in the European Union. He has exposed in local, national and international congresses and has performed surgery in different countries like Australia, Germany, Brazil and Peru in theory and practice congresses.
He is the co-editor of such magazines as Ocular Surgery News and Fronteras En Oftalmología.
He has also been published in other magazines and has taken part in books about refractive surgery.
