Astigmatism

Suffering astigmatism means having distorted or blurry vision. This is due to an existing difference in the curvature of the cornea, causing images to be focused in different perspectives.

Astigmatism commonly comes with hipermetropy or myopia.
Refractive surgery allows correcting astigmatism in a fast and efficient way.

Today there are options to correct astigmatism. This refractive deficiency can be treated with frame glasses, contacts or laser surgical procedures. The laser surgical procedures able to correct astigmatism with excellent results, helping patients to be free of frame glasses or contact lenses are: Lasik, Conductive Keratoplasty (CK), Photorefractive Keratomy(PRK), and Lasek.
